Felpham Colts 4 Wisborough Green 3
(S.Lilley 12, Shayne 75, Jasper 80, Lewis 90)
The revolution has started! Felpham Colts got off to the perfect start in Mens football with a thrilling last gasp win in a friendly with Wisborough Green.
Under sunny skies the game got off to a blistering pace with both sides going close in the opening exchanges. On 12 minutes the moment arrived; Stuart Lilley latched on to a pass and hit a screamer form his left boot into the bottom corner from 25 yards and KGV was rocking!
Colts then dominated until numerous substitutions on half hour mark disrupted their flow. The visitors came more into the game and were rewarded with a penalty (push in the back) on 37 minutes which was duly converted (1-1). Further error in the Colts defence saw Green take the lead on 43 minutes with a free header from a corner(1-2).

The second half was an even affair until the hour mark. A further round of substitutions brought back control and composure and it was only a matter of time before Colts broke through. A scrappy but welcome equaliser was finally bundled over the line by Danny Shayne(2-2) on 75 minutes.
Colts were now well on top and a neat turn and finish by Alex Jasper restored their lead (3-2) on 80 minutes. The visitors came storming back and drew level again on 87 minutes(3-3) before Kaine Lewis sprinted clear of the Green defence and beat the keeper to win the game in stoppage time (4-3).
More days like this to come!

Felpham Colts 0 Newtown Villa 4
Fair Play! Two goals in each half from a rampant Villa side containing ex-colts Negus and Hansen tore Colts to shreds this afternoon at a windy KGV.
More old faces were spotted in the crowd (see picture) as Felpham got a reality check on the West Sussex League and what it takes to be successful from their cross town opponents.
The visitors took the lead on 33 minutes and then doubled their advantage 4 minutes later as Colts defended poorly.(h-t 0-2)
The second half was an improvement with Negus making some fine saves from Brown and Jasper and Goddard went close as Felpham created some chances. But Newtown were in control and scored a 25 yard bullet together with a finely executed corner to see off the home side.(f-t 0-4)
Overall this was not a bad performance against opponents five divisions higher in the pyramid and provided some good lessons for the league campaign starting next Saturday. However the bright side of the road is far off tonight.
