History

It was Roy who chose the club’s famous blue and yellow colours. Roy is an Arsenal fan, and in those days, that was the colour of the ‘Gunners’ away strip.

Felpham Colts was officially formed on 15 May 1980, although the origins of the club can be traced back much further - to 1972. It was then that Roy Eason took his boys down to King George V field in Felpham to have a kick around. As time went by, they were joined by various friends and so a team was formed.

Roy entered the team in the inaugural Bognor & Chichester Minor League. This was the forerunner of what we now know as the Arun & Chichester Youth Football League – the league in which our boys teams now compete.
