Wick Dynamos 2 v Felpham Colts 4
In a good hard fought match, the under 9’s came out worthy 4-2 winners. Goals in the first half from Lewis Walker and Luke Hubbard gave us a 2-1 lead going into the break. Harry Geall made it 3-1 with a fine solo goal but Wick scored again to make it 3-2. A great corner set piece ended with Cian Markie smashing home. A great 1 on 1 save by Zak Cogger in the last minute kept the score at 4-2.This gave the boys their first ever win in competitive football at the first attempt. Every player gave their all and lets hope for more to come.

Worthing Minors Youth 1 Felpham Colts 0
Felpham Colts travelled to Worthing for this challenge cup 1st round match. With a strong wind behind them in the first half, Felpham struggled at times to break down a strong minors defence. Rhys Nicholas worked away up front on his own trying to make a chance and won 2 corners in quick succession. Oliver Payne who was making his debut in midfield along side Cian Markie and Daniel Kearns made some good challenges. Chances in the first half were at a premium for both sides and this left the half time score goalless.
The second half started brightly for Felpham with Luke Hubbard coming on into midfield and making some good runs. Luke Dent then made his debut for the colts and settled in well.
With 10 minutes remaining Worthing then broke away from a throw in and scored. This left the colts in need of an equalizer to force extra time but the minors goalkeeper made a great save with minutes remaining to send them through to the next round. A special mention for a superb defensive display should go to Sam Blunt and man of the match Fraser Partridge.

Felpham Colts 4 v Worthing United Youth 1
Felpham Colts returned to winning ways after 3 narrow defeats. In a good contested match between two strong teams , the Colts started strongly and played some good passing football early on.
Lewis Walker and Sam Blunt controlled the midfield and Max Searle and Fraser Partridge stopped everything in defence. After 10 minutes Luke Hubbard raced onto a very long goal kick by Zak Cogger and coolly placed the ball past the oncoming keeper. Minutes later Luke Hubbard scored his second with a classy left foot shot. The colts continued to dominate the match and should have scored at least 3 more with a bit more composure.
10 minutes into the second half Worthing scored from a corner but this only made the colts work harder and Sam Blunt arrived at the back post to fire home. With time running out Luke Hubbard completed his hat trick with a fine lob over the keeper. A superb display against a well organised team gave the colts 3 points.

Barnham Trojans Red 0 v Felpham Colts 4
The colts travelled to play the Trojans in this entertaining league match. The colts started well but came close to going a goal down early on when Max Searle and Fraser Partridge combined to clear off the goal line. Luke Hubbard started to make some great runs and it came as no surprise when he took on 3 players and smashed home the opener. Hubbard then scored again shortly after with another fine shot past the keeper. Harry Geall then got on the score sheet when he turned 2 defenders, drew the keeper and slotted home.
After fine performances by Rhys Nicholas and Daniel Kearns, these 2 were replaced by Cian Markie and Josh Mines who continued to keep the colts going. A fine last gasp tackle by man of the match Fraser Partridge lead to Luke Hubbard going straight down the other end and firing home his hat trick to complete a 4- 0 win for the colts. This match was played in great spirit and enjoyed by all supporters.

Felpham Colts 2 v Chichester City Colts 0
Felpham entertained Chichester in this first ever encounter and came out on top with a 2-0 win. The match started at a fast pace with Luke Hubbard causing problems with his mazy runs.
The Chichester goalkeeper was in outstanding form with numerous saves to keep the game scoreless in the first half, with Felpham unable to get that opening goal they deserved.
The second half started with Felpham scoring through Hubbard whose shot wrong footed the keeper, who then made 3 great stops to keep Chichester in the game. Oliver Payne, Charlie Jays,Elvis Millen and Rhys Nicholas came on and it was Nicholas whose shot from a tight angle some how made its way into the net to give Felpham the 3 points and put them top of the league.
Harry Geall claimed the man of the match award with special mention to Luke Dent who took over the goalkeeping duties late on and kept a clean sheet.

Highdown Saints 0 Felpham Colts 8
The colts returned to winning ways after a two week break with a resounding 8-0 win. Harry Geall got the scoring started after Luke Hubbard had set him up. Geall scored again soon after with a fine shot and Hubbard then opened his account by taking on 4 players and smashing home. A great pass from Max Searle sent Geall throughfor his hat trick and Hubbard got his second with a fine shot into the bottom corner. The second half started with Sam Blunt, Cian Markie, Rhys Nicholas coming onand Luke Dent taking over in goal. Hubbard soon completed his hat trick with another fine shot. Man of the match Blunt then powered home a screamer from outside the boxand the scoring was completed by a Markie piledriver. Fraser Partridge was outstanding in defence along side Searle.
Special mention must go to the saints for never giving up despite the score line, they were a credit to their club.

Chichester City Colts 0 Felpham Colts 6
In this battle of the colts cup clash, it was Felpham who started the strongest with their passing game unsettling Chichester.
It came as no surprise when the first goal arrived, Lewis Walkerfiring home. With the wind at their backs, Felpham looked to take control of the match and it then became the Luke Hubbard show as he twice ran through to score with well placed shots,had a hand in Harry Geall scoring with a brilliant header and then completed his hat trick with a slightly deflected shot.
With a 5 goal lead at half time, changes were made with Josh Mines,Daniel Kearns, Luke Dent, Sam Blunt and Rhys Nicholas all coming on and continuing to play the passing game. Luke Hubbard then ran half the length of the pitch and calmly side footed home.
Chichester never gave up and fought till the end to gain a consolation but Felpham stood firm to record a 6-0 win.
Man of the match was Lewis Walker.

In this derby clash, the colts came out worthy 4-0 winners. The match started at a fast pace and it was no surprise when a superb pass from Cian Markie found Harry Geall who smashed home to put the colts 1 up. It wasn’t long until it was 2 nil when a corner from Josh Mines found Geall lurking and he headed into the bottom corner.
2 became 3 soon after when the superb Mines found Markie and he hit a screamer between the post and the keeper.
With the colts cruising, changes were made with Rhys Nicholas, Luke Dent, Daniel Kearns, Oliver Payne and Charlie Jays all coming on and playing some fine football. A long Kearns throw found its way through to Nicholas and he poked home to seal a comfortable win. Credit to Predators for their effort and determination, but the colts class showed as they went back to the top of the league .

Felpham Colts 2 Preston Blades 0
At a wet and windy Shrubbs these two teams met for the third week running and again it proved to be a tight match. Despite playing against the wind, the colts started strongly and Luke Hubbard made the first chance for Harry Geall but the keeper was out quickly to block. Hubbard then picked up the ball on the half way line,when beat three players and smashed an unstoppable shot which hit the underside of the bar and bounced down off the post only for the keeper to save on the line. With a goalless first half and the wind at the backs the Colts started the second half in an explosive manner. First Josh Mines sent in one of his cheeky corners which fooled everyone and nestled in the back of the net. Then minutes later Mines again chipped a corner into the box for Hubbard to rise like a young salmon and head home. Subs were made to give all the players a game and one of those, Sam Blunt was exceptional and gained the man of the match award.
The whole team were amazing in keeping the team four points clear at the top of the league

Felpham Colts 3 Wick Dynamos 0
On a bright but cold morning this interesting match between first and third started at a fast pace with the Dynamo’s attacking at every opportunity but being held back by Partridge and Blunt.Luke Hubbard then decided the game needed a goal and from the tightest of angles smashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner. This made the Dynamos work harder to get level but Mines, Walker and Hubbard kept a tight grip in the midfield. The first half came to an end with a goal mouth scramble in the Dynamos box but the colts were unable to score.The second half began with the colts on the back foot but looking to break away at every chance. Then a moment of brilliance by Mines put the colts 2 up. When a clearance came to him on the right, he looked up and hit a screamer over the keeper. The colts were now playing some great football and grabbed a third a Walker cross shot was volleyed home by Hubbard.Markie was now on and he won a succession of headers in defence to keep the Dynamos at bay and gain the man of the match award. The match finished with colts defending the 3 goal lead and make it 10 straight wins and keep them 4 points clear going into Christmas.

Felpham Colts 6 Barnham Trojans Red 0
After dropping points in their last two games, the colts returned to winning ways with a 6-0 win against the trojans. The match started at a fast pace and it wasn’t long until the colts scored with Harry Geall slotting home after good teamwork. Geall soon got his second when after receiving the ball out wide he ran at the defence and then
smashed home a beauty. With the defence and midfield controlling the match, Luke Hubbard then scored with a fine shot which gave the keeper no chance.
With a 3 nil half time lead numerous changes were made and every team player played their part in keeping the colts ahead. Hubbard soon got his second when his powerful left foot shot found the net. Cian Markie then grabbed a goal when he fired home from a tight angle. With Rhys Nicholas and Luke Dent working and playing superbly up front, Hubbard created the goal of the game when he
squared the ball for Geall to slot home and get his hat trick. Credit to Barnham for their effort and attitude and especially the keeper who was outstanding for them.

Invitation Cup - Semi Final
Felpham Colts 2 Lancing Utd Youth 0
On a cold but fine day this eagerly awaited cup semi final started at a fast pace. With Harry Geall causing numerous problems with his runs and good positions, the colts started to make chances against a strong lancing team. Luke Hubbard had a shot palmed away before Geall went on a glorious run but fired just wide. With Josh Mines and Lewis Walker winning the midfield it came as no surprise when the colts scored. Hubbard some how wiggled past 3 defenders and from the tightest of angles fired in with the keeper unable to keep it out.
This spurred the colts on for more but they just couldn’t get that second before half time.
Changes were soon made with Blunt, Kearns, Millen coming on and fitting in well. After a couple of good corners, Mines chipped in another for Geall to rise magnificently and power home a header. Nicholas and Dent came on to add freshness and the colts continued to make chance after chance but not score. With Partridge and Searle again outstanding in defence the colts saw out the final few minutes and get to their first ever cup final in their first competitive season. Credit to Lancing for playing in a sporting match .
