Felpham Girls 1 Pevensey Girls 1
Felpham kicked off the new season with a hard fought draw against a plucky Pevensey. Felpham started slowly allowing the visitors to dominate the early stages. Fortunately for Felpham , Hannah Russell looked very assured in goal and backed up some good defensive work by the ever reliable Chloe Luff and Rachael Sutton, Pevensey found it hard work to break down the home defence. However a fine shot from edge of the area gave the visitors a deserved lead. This did at least rally Felpham who started to put pressure on Pevensey and it was a brave save by the Pevensey goal keeper at the feet of Heather McLinden that saw the goal keeper stretchered off. Despite a player advantage Felpham never really threatened and it was a fortunate strike from debutant Sian Payne that gave Felpham an undeserved equalizer just before half time. The second half again was very bitty with neither side creating too much but Payne was thwarted by a fine save from the Pevensey but equally Russell made a superb block for Felpham to ensure a draw which was probably a fair result. Overall it was a lack lustre Felpham performance who know they can play better.

Felpham Girls 10 Eastbourne Girls 1
Felpham made amends for last weeks lack lustre performance with a scintillating display of attacking football against a battling Eastbourne side. Sian Payne and Hannah Watson-Williams were outstanding in the first half creating chances at will which Shannon Makey and Amy Bailey (twice) took with relish. Payne then scored with a rasping shot to give Felpham a 4-0 lead at half time. With Emily Diplock and Heather McLinden outstanding in midfield Felpham continued to press in the second half and goals came at regular intervals with the irrepressible Bailey adding another 2 with Maddy Delongsdon , Payne , and a superb solo goal from Watson-Williams completing the scoring. Plucky Eastbourne earned a consolation at the end which was unfortunate on the keeper Haanah Russell who again was outstanding in the Felpham goal.

Pevensey Girls 1 Felpham Girls 2
Felpham made the long trip east in good heart following last weeks excellent performance, and a solid first half performance with Jemma and Hannah Ward outstanding in the centre of defence ensured the early pressure from the home side was thwarted. A new look midfield with Maddy Delongsdon and Sian Payne working well couldn’t find a way past a strong Pevensey defence. The second half carried on in much the same vein but a rare mistake in Felpham defence allowed home side to take the lead. To their credit Felpham hit back immediately with a fine pass from Chloe Luff allowing Hannah Watson-Williams to run through and score with aplomb. Felpham pressed for the winner which duly arrived after more great work from Luff , Makey shot into the corner to give Felpham a hard fought victory. Hannah Russell was again outstanding in goal in a hard working team performance.

Felpham Girls 2 Rustington Girls 5
Rustington put Felpham under pressure from the start but Heather Mclinden and Jemma Meek were resolute at the heart of Felpham's defence and with Sian Payne outstanding in midfield Felphan more than held their own against the champions. However Rustington began to dominate and Felpham's heads dropped as Rustington opened up a 3 goal advantage at half time. Felpham regrouped after half time and showed much more grit with Aimee Robinson excelling in midfield, and it was no surprise when Hannah Watson-Williams reduced the deficit with a tremendous shot from edge of the area to give Felpham hope. This increased when Felpham earned a penalty which Shannon Makey duly despatched and Felpham, with Amy Bailey outstanding in midfield, pressed for the equalizer. To their credit Rustington rode the storm to score twice near the end to ease to a hard earned victory.

Felpham Girls 1 Seahaven Harriers Girls 7
In dreadful conditions Seahaven started strongly against a timid Felpham side and it was no surprise they controlled the first half scoring 3 goals in the process. Felpham were more galvanised after the break and a superb pass from Maddy Delongsdon set up Amy Bailey who scored with style to bring Felpham back into the game. With Sian Payne outstanding in midfield Felpham had a chance but Seahaven killed the game off with a couple of well taken goals to cruise to a comfortable victory.

Felpham Girls 3 Chichester Girls 4
Felpham started slowly against their local rivals and it was no surprise they went behind after a defensive lapse.Amy Bailey then equalized for Felpham after good work by Shannon Makey and Bailey scored again to give Felpham a slightly undeserved half time advantage. Chichester levelled proceedings in second half and both goal keepers then produced good saves to keep scores level. However Chichester got the breakthrough and then stretched lead to 4-2. Felpham rallied with Heather Mclinden hitting the post but despite a goal from Makey at the depth , Felpham were left to rue a hatful of missed chances.

Worthing Minors Girls 4 Felpham Girls 2
Yet again Felpham started slowly and were made to pay the price by a strong Worthing side, and despite some excellent goalkeeping from Hannah Russell, they were three down after 20 minutes. Gradually Felpham stirred from their slumber with Emily Diplock and Amy Bailey impressing in midfield and with the defence led by Rachael Sutton becoming more confident it remained 3-0 at half time. Felpham came out the second half much the stronger team and pulled a goal back through Bailey after a fine shot by Hannah Watson-Williams . Suddenly Felpham's confidence rose with Maddy Delongsdon have a fine game down the left and when Shannon Maket scored direct from a corner the home side felt the pressure. However Worthing remained solid and scored the decisive 4th at the end and yet again Felpham were made to pay for a sloppy start.

Felpham Girls 0 Oakwood Girls 0
After sloppy starts in the last few games Felpham were determined to be strong from the beginning and Hannah Ward and Jemma Meek epitomized this attitude with a superb defensive display which allowed Felpham to control long periods of the game without ever really threatening an Oakwood side who defended resolutely. Sian Payne and Heather McLinden were at the heart of everything good going forward for Felpham but chances went begging with both Eloise Paine and Emily Diplock missing great opportunities to secure the win that Felpham deserved but the home side can take credit for a much more focussed performance.

Oakwood Girls 2 Felpham Girls 0
Felpham dominated the early proceedings with Heather McLinden and Emily Diplock controlling the midfield , and this gave the whole team confidence and it wasn't long before the home keeper was tested from a good effort by Eloise Paine. Mclinden then had a rasping shot which unfortunately rebounded off the post and was also denied by a superb save from the Oakwood keeper. Hannah Watson-Williams was enjoying a fine time down the right but Felpham were unable to capitalize. Oakwood came into it a little bit more in the second half but found Hannah Ward and Chloe Luff outstanding in the Felpham defence. Howwever despite plenty of opportunities Felpham couldn't find the net and with 8 minutes to go Oakwood broke away against the run of play to score and added a second decisive goal at the end which was very unjust on a Felpham side that played with purpose and skill but lacked a killer touch in front of goal.

Felpham Girls 0 Marle Place 2
Felpham started brightly with Maddy Delongsdon and Heather McLinden prominent in midfield but Marle Place defended stoutly making it difficult for the Felpham strikers. With Chloe Luff and Hannah Ward in terrific form at heart of the Felpham defence it was no surprise the score was 0-0 at half time. The second half again was very even with both keepers making fine saves and Sian Payne came closest for Felpham. However Marle Place scored the decisive first goal with ten minutes to go and with Felpham pushing for an equalizer they added a second shortly afterwards to again leave Felpham ruing their lack of killer instinct in front of goal.

Felpham Girls 5 Adur 1
Felpham welcomed back leading scorer Amy Bailey after a long layoff and her impact was instant slotting home after 2 minutes after a superb through ball from Emily Diplock . Felpham continued to press and Eloise Paine's superb shot doubled the lead. Adur pulled one back with a well taken goal from a free kick but this didn’t deter Felpham who continued to play some excellent football with Hannah Watson-Williams outstanding on the right flank. Felpham continued to press after half time and Heather Mclinden increased Felpham’s lead with a good finish from a corner. Felpham’s defence looking solid under the guidance of Hannah Ward and Chloe Luff and confidence flowed through the team. Superb work from Bailey down the left set up Paine who finished with aplomb. Paine’s superb performance was capped by a brilliant individual goal to complete an excellent team performance where all members contributed.

Horsham Sparrows Girls 2 Felpham Girls 2
Felpham travelled to Horsham with only 10 players but produced arguably their best performance of the season with a well deserved point. Felpham settled quickly with some excellent passing instigated by Emily Diplock and Maddy Delongsdon , and it was no surprise when a superb move ended with a brilliant shot from Hannah Watson-Williams to open the scoring. With Hannah Ward , Rachael Sutton and Chloe Luff outstanding in defence Felpham comfortably held on to the lead. The second half continued in the same view and Amy Bailey’s persistence allowed her to double the lead. However Felpham understandably began to tire and Horsham pulled one back to put the pressure on Felpham and Horsham scrambled an equalizer with ten minutes to go. Both sides then went for the winner but with Sian Payne outstanding in defence and Hannah Russell confident in goal there were no further goals and honours were even although all credit should go to a Felpham side that combined hard work with some excellent football.
